🌸 Crochet Braided Hairband Tutorial

🌿 Materials:

Yarn in 3 colors:
- Color A (pink)
- Color B (green)
- Color C (white) for the base
3.5mm or 4mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors

✨ Part 1: Crochet the Base Band (White)

Chain a base length
- Chain as long as you need for your head circumference (typically 60–70 chains for a child, 80–100 for an adult)
- Add 2 extra chains for turning.
Row 1:
- Half double crochet (HDC) in 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across.
- Chain 2, turn.
Row 2–4 (or until desired width):
- HDC in each stitch across.
- Chain 2, turn.

Optional: For a thicker band, you can go up to 6 rows.

✨ Part 2: Crochet the Braided Strips

For each strip (make 3, alternating pink and green like in your photo)

Chain 55–60 (long enough to match the length of the base band when slightly stretched)
Row 1:
- Work 1 double crochet (DC) in the 3rd chain from hook
- Continue DC across all chains
- Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Repeat for all 3 strips (2 green, 1 pink or your desired color combo)

Lay the 3 strips side by side.

Braid the strips as you would hair:
- Left over middle, right over middle, repeat.
Secure the other end once done.
