This is a gorgeous crochet flower lace motif pattern, made by joining individual floral motifs together. I’ll guide you through how to make one of these motifs and how to join them.

🌸 Crochet Open Petal Flower Motif Tutorial
🧶 What You’ll Need:
- Fine crochet cotton thread (#10 or #20)
- 1.25 mm crochet hook
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
📖 Instructions:
🌼 Round 1: Center Circle
- Magic ring
- Chain 3 (counts as 1 dc)
- Work 11 double crochet (dc) into the ring (total 12 dc with chain 3)
- Slip stitch to the top of the starting chain 3
- Pull tight to close the center

🌸 Round 2: Petal Bases
- Chain 5 (counts as 1 dc + chain 2)
- Skip next stitch, 1 dc in next stitch, chain 2
- Repeat around — you should have 12 chain-2 spaces
- Slip stitch to the 3rd chain of starting chain 5
🌸 Round 3: Form Petals
Into each chain-2 space:
- (1 sc, 1 hdc, 6 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc)
- Repeat this in each chain-2 space to create 12 petals
- Slip stitch to the first sc to join

🌸 Round 4: Outer Petal Detail
To create the open teardrop look:
- Slip stitch into the next 3 stitches (to reach petal tip)
- Chain 6
- Slip stitch into the same stitch (petal tip)
- Slip stitch down the petal, then slip stitch into the center of the space between petals
- Repeat around
🌿 Optional: Joining Motifs
- On the final round of petals, when making chain loops, you can join motifs by slip stitching into the corresponding chain loop of an adjacent motif before continuing the chain
- This connects the motifs cleanly as seen in your image

✅ Done!
You now have a beautiful lace flower motif. Make multiple motifs and join them as you go for table runners, doilies, or even a scarf.
