Crochet Cactus Keychain Pattern
🧶 Materials
- Cotton or acrylic yarn: Green (cactus), Brown (pot), Yellow/Pink (flower), White (flower center)
- Crochet hook: 2.5–3 mm
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Yarn needle, scissors
- Keychain ring
🌵 Cactus Body (ribbed round cactus)
- Ch 21.
- Row 1: Starting in 2nd ch from hook, sc across (20). Ch 1, turn.
- Row 2–28: sc 20 in BLO, ch 1, turn. (Work until you have a rectangle about 28 rows.)
👉 You now have a ribbed rectangle.
- Fold rectangle in half (short sides together). Sew edges to form a tube.
- Using yarn needle, weave through one open edge, pull tight to close.
- Stuff firmly with fiberfill.
- Close the other end the same way → you have a ribbed ball cactus.
🪴 Pot
Base:
- Round 1: Magic ring, 6 sc (6).
- Round 2: inc in each st (12).
- Round 3: (sc 1, inc) x6 (18).
- Round 4: (sc 2, inc) x6 (24).
- Round 5: (sc 3, inc) x6 (30).
Walls:
- Round 6: BLO sc around (30).
- Round 7–11: sc around (30).
- Round 12: (sc 4, dec) x5 (25).
- Round 13: sc around (25).
👉 This creates a slightly flared pot.
🌸 Flower
- Round 1: Magic ring, 5 sc.
- Round 2: In each st → (sl st, ch 2, 2 dc, ch 2, sl st) = 1 petal. Repeat for all 5 sts. (5 petals).
- Add a small stitch of white yarn in the middle for the center.
🔗 Assembly
- Place cactus into the pot. Sew cactus bottom to the pot rim.
- Sew flower on top of cactus.
